Red Button Reviews was
first launched on February 27th 2007 after a trio of budding
internet marketers were each scammed out of £500 on first the Money Making
system they ever tried on the internet.
The site was called 25percent.com and as the name suggests it promised to offer returns of 25%
for purchasing what were simply called "Units" which ranged in value
from £25 - £100.
It seemed to good too be true, so they each trialled a couple of
£25 units. All the payments were processed through PayPal so
it seemed to be above board, and within 4 working days each unit was
returned with a profit of £6.25.
The site had a phone number, so one of our bemused founders
called up and spoke to a chap called Adrian (most likely not his real
name) and he asked how he did it.
He was told that if people visit his site, his investors pay him
for his traffic, and as people make 25% for investing, they tell
loads of people about it, and that traffic then turned in to profit
somehow. Not understanding this completely but blinded by
opportunity they scraped together £500 each and reinvested the
following week.
The 4 working days passed, and they didn't hear anything, but 2
days later it was returned however this was without the 25% profit.
The seemingly apologetic owner
of the site said that due to constant problems and fees from PayPal,
that they had fallen out with them, and that
they were now offering the service via direct bank transfers, and
that he could now offer £500 units offering a return of 50% within
just 6 days.
They were then sent the bank details for Lloyds TSB business
account under the name of 25 Percent, so off they went to invest a
total of £1500 in the hope that by the end of the week they would
have made £750 for simply doing nothing.
A few days later they each received an email from a lady simply known as
Amanda from admin saying that Adrian had been in a car accident,
and were left with no come back, and heard nothing for over a month.
Eventually the owner came back to each person, saying that his
business insurance didn't cover him for his time off work, and that
he had lost their investment, and offered to repay them back just
over £24 per month until the debts were cleared to avoid them taking
legal action against him, but nothing materialised and in they end
they just gave up chasing it.
But something really good came out of this.
The 3 people that had been scammed decided to start researching
online money making opportunities, and then one by one they would
try out the most popular products that they kept hearing about to
see whether of not they were scams or not, and then tell as many
people to stay away from that SCAM as possible.
This saw the creation of a simple Myspace Page called the Red
Button Bin. Initially a handful of sites made the Red Button
Bin, but in the process of trying and testing ways of making money
on the internet, all 3 started to have varying levels of success with the systems,
and soon found that people were more interested in what does work,
and not what doesn't!
So they got cracking on some reviews, and on Tuesday the 27th of
February 2007 the first version of the Red Button Reviews website was
uploaded to the internet and they started to tell the world about
what actually works.
The guys have come along way now, and now have their own
profitable independent businesses using systems featured on the home
page, a true testament to the fact that they do all work.
Now Red Button and it's 100,000 plus followers use the website to
find out the latest ways of earning money on the internet, as well as
finding out were they can seek out online mentors that can
personally show you how to make a living on the internet.
Not only that, but in August 2009 Red Button Reviews was totally
redesigned, and now offers a wide range of services including
affiliate programs, low cost advertising space and free advice on
how to spot a scam for people that are in the business of making
money on the internet.
So thanks for visiting our site and from the team at Red Button
we would like to wish you every success in your online ventures.
Yours Sincerely
